Homestay Information

Seaford Secondary College host study tours from various countries every year. Host families are remunerated at $280 a week for offsetting costs involved with hosting a Study Tour student.

We are continually looking at expanding our list of Homestay Families. Study Tour groups come from all over the world and typically stay for 2 - 4 weeks. International students enrolled in the High School Study Abroad Program can stay for 1 - 4 terms.  During this time the students will participate in English Language lessons, local classes and go on tourism excursions.

As a local family hosting a Study Tour student, you will have the chance to:

  • Learn about other cultures, customs and traditions
  • Make lasting friendships with your student and their family
  • Participate in activities and meet other host families
  • Explore fun things to see and do in South Australia

I highly encourage all students’ families to consider becoming a Homestay Family. We carefully match all International Students to host families based on similarities and in addition to the student's specific needs and your family’s requests.
